Pagenaud claims first oval win at Phoenix

Simon Pagenaud claimed his first Verizon IndyCar Series win of the year – and first of his career on an oval – with a victory in the Phoenix Grand Prix at Phoenix International Raceway. Pagenaud took the lead from Team Penske teammate Will Power after gaining the better part of a lap when Power pitted just before a caution flag waved, then managed the gap to win by some 9sec. Between them, Team Penske's drivers led all of the race's 250 laps. "Those were the longest 50 laps of my life," said Pagenaud.
