IndyCar confirmed at Watkins Glen on Labor Day Weekend

IndyCar has signed a deal with Watkins Glen International, replacing the stillborn Grand Prix of Boston on the 2016 Verizon IndyCar Series calendar. As Motorsport.com revealed on Monday, the Watkins Glen race will be a direct replacement for Boston, falling as the 15th race, Sept. 1-4. Tickets for the event – which will include Indy Lights and join the traditional Ferrari event at WGI – will be available on TheGlen.com from next week. IndyCar last raced on the classic 3.4-mile road course in New York State in 2010.
