IndyCar replacing Boston with Watkins Glen

– IndyCar officials announced today that the series will be returning to Watkins Glen International over Labor Day weekend, filling the spot on the schedule recently vacated by the canceled race in Boston.The race will take place on September 4 and will serve as the penultimate round of the 2016 championship. Indy Lights will also travel to the New York track which started hosting IndyCar in the late 1970s.A legendary circuit, Watkins Glen has also hosted Formula 1, CART, IMSA, SCCA, NASCAR and other series over the last 60 years.
