Sato ends three-year pole drought at Detroit

– Indianapolis 500 victor Takuma Sato claimed his first IndyCar pole position in three years as he beat Graham Rahal to top spot for Race 2 at Detroit.Sato clocked a time of 1:13.6732, a new track record, to finish 0.1373s quicker than Race 1 winner Rahal.Sato and Rahal traded fastest times in Group B's session before the Japanese driver emerged on top, meaning he will start the second race of the double-header from the front of the pack."This is unbelievable, it's another team effort, it's great, I gave 100 per cent," said Sato, a week on from his famous triumph.Despite Rahal clocking the second fastest overall time, he will start from third, with the Group A runners...
