Pagenaud dominates Sonoma, wins title

– Simon Pagenaud has won his first career IndyCar Series title after engine troubles knocked Will Power out of the race on lap 37. Up until that point the Australian was sitting in third behind his team-mate and the championship leader, which would have meant that he would still come up short for the title.Entering the race, Pagenaud's pole yesterday grew his lead to 44 points over the 2014 champion, meaning he would need to finish fifth or higher today.
