MILEPOSTS: Ganassi's six-series weekend

It's hard to for veteran teams to break new ground, but after 26 years in the sport, Chip Ganassi Racing is preparing to do something it has never done...and it's mildly insane. The weekend of Sept. 18-19 will see CGR enter 14 cars for 18 drivers in six series on the same continent, and for an organization that has won the Indy 500, Daytona 500, Rolex 24 at Daytona, and 24 Hours of Le Mans, the list of improbable accomplishments was already set impossibly high. Ganassi will have four Chevy-powered Dallara DW12s in Sonoma for the Verizon IndyCar Series finale, four Ford GTs at Circuit of The Americas for the dual World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship event...
