IndyCar eyes 2020 Surfers Paradise return
IndyCar boss Mark Miles has expressed optimism the championship can return to Surfers Paradise, potentially as early as next year. IndyCar has not visited Australia since 2008, when a final non-championship race was held prior to the reunification of America’s single-seater championships. Champ Car visited the street circuit between 1991 and 2008, with the track quickly establishing itself as a popular venue on the calendar.
