Pigot replaces Hildebrand in full-time ECR seat

– Ed Carpenter Racing has announced that Spencer Pigot will compete full-time for the team in IndyCar next year, in place of J.R. Hildebrand.Pigot, 23, graduated to IndyCar on a three-race deal with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing in 2016 as part of his scholarship for taking the Indy Lights crown in 2015.Once that deal came to an end, Pigot switched to ECR, and has competed on the road/street courses in the No. 20 car, with team boss Carpenter participating in the oval events.For 2018, Pigot will switch to the No. 21 car, replacing Hildebrand, and contest all of the races."To say I am excited about 2018 would be an understatement," said Pigot."I have really enjoyed my...
