Hinchcliffe ends drought, wins at Long Beach

– James Hinchcliffe outlasted Sébastien Bourdais and Josef Newgarden to win at Long Beach on Sunday, crucially running one lap longer than his competitors on his final stint to take the lead. Aided by two Honda engine failures around him, the Canadian cruised to his first win in two years on Sunday.Heading into the final stint of what turned out to be a three-stop strategy for most drivers, Hinchcliffe waited while Ryan Hunter-Reay and Alexander Rossi pitted in front of him for their final stops.
