Power cleared to race after Miami medical examination

Will Power has been cleared to resume racing after being examined by the medical team at the University of Miami Concussion Center, and is now ready to take the fight to Team Penske team-mate Simon Pagenaud for the title at Sonoma Raceway later this month. The Australian was checked and released from the medical centre at Watkins Glen International on Sunday after crashing into the barrier following a collision with Charlie Kimball on Lap 39, but was at that point not cleared to race due to possible concussion symptoms, but Power has now overcome that obstacle that threatened to derail his title chances.
