Power passes concussion tests, cleared to race

IndyCar's medical director Dr Geoffrey Billows has cleared Will Power to race after passing concussion tests today. Following his collision with the barrier on Lap 39 of last Sunday's race at Watkins Glen, Power was initially checked, released, but not cleared to drive. But he was assessed today at the University of Miami Concussion Center under the supervision of Dr. Steve Olvey, retired director of the Neuro-Critical Care Unit at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and Power passed both the Immediate Post-Concussion Assessment and Cognitive Testing (ImPACT) and Vestibular/Ocular-Motor Screening (VOMS) exams.
