Dixon storms to Watkins Glen pole, lap record

– Scott Dixon broke the Watkins Glen track record en route to another pole position, beating Penske rival Will Power by just four-hundredths of a second on Saturday. Dixon's 1:22.5259-second lap equaled an average speed of over 147mph around the classic New York track.Power, who originally looked to be shut out of the Firestone Fast Six, advanced after Q2 finished because of a qualifying interference penalty assessed to Russian Mikhail Aleshin. Power made the most of it, securing a front row spot for tomorrow's penultimate race in the 2016 season.Sébastien Bourdais, who recently learned he will be driving for Dale Coyne in 2017, will start on row two beside Hélio Castroneves....
