Power and Dixon satisfied but admit Newgarden was unbeatable

Will Power and Scott Dixon, beaten into second and third positions in today’s Iowa Corn 300, said they were happy with podium finishes but said they had no chance of beating Ed Carpenter Racing’s Josef Newgarden. Team Penske’s Power, whose best previous result at Iowa came back in 2010, when he finished fifth said: “It took us all day to get to the front… I think we had a very good long-run car; we had people come back to us at the end of a stint so I was very happy it stayed green at the end of the race. “But I’m not sure we had anything for Newgarden.
