Pagenaud, Chevy dominate Iowa qualifying

– Simon Pagenaud looks to extend his championship lead tomorrow after taking pole at the 7/8-mile Iowa Speedway on Saturday. His two-lap average of 185.855 was nearly 0.2mph quicker than his nearest competitor, Josef Newgarden. In doing so, he earned the 500th career pole for Team Penske, at a track where Andretti Autosport has won the past six races.Qualifying was a relatively calm affair at a track drivers colloquially call "The Bullring."
