Pagenaud cruises to Indianapolis GP pole

– Simon Pagenaud topped a diverse Firestone Fast Six en route to his fourth career pole position on Friday. The Frenchman's 1:08.6868 laptime was 0.2s better than P2 Charlie Kimball, but it was just short of the Q1 time set by Will Power (1:08.6746), which broke the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course's record.Power, however, was nowhere to be seen in a Fast Six that included an equal number of Hondas and Chevrolets. In fact, Pagenaud was the only Penske car to make it to Q3, with a mixture of traffic and setup issues affecting his team-mates.
