IndyCar closing on deal for non-championship race in China

China could become the latest addition to the IndyCar calendar, albeit with a non-championship scoring event, to be held in the Fengtai District of Beijing, according to series CEO Mark Miles. Miles, CEO of INDYCAR parent company Hulman & Company, has held ambitions to host IndyCar events outside of the Western Hemisphere to expand the series' appeal and is currently in advanced discussions with local organisers to host a street race in the Chinese capital.
