Pagenaud quickest in Alabama qualifying
– Simon Pagenaud won the third pole position of his career, needing just one lap to beat team-mate Will Power in the final session of qualifying. The Frenchman, currently atop the IndyCar points standings, has never won the race, only finishing as high as P4 in five attempts at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama.
