To help celebrate the team's jubilee season, here are a selection of highlights from its open-wheeler campaigns. 1969: One year after making Penske’s first IndyCar appearance at Mosport, Mark Donohue finishes seventh in the team’s Indianapolis 500 debut and earns rookie-of-the-year honors. 1970: Donohue runs second to Al Unser at Indianapolis. 1971: Penske Racing earns its first USAC IndyCar victory at Pocono with Donohue in a McLaren M16.
