Kimball O.K. Following Hard Qualifying Crash
Exiting turn three on his first timed lap, Charlie Kimball had a hard crash after his car broke loose in the middle of the turn. The no. 83 Novo Nordisk machine spun 270 degrees to hit the outside wall with its nose, and the impact lifted the back of the car into the air, catching the catch fence in the process. However, Kimball immediately gave a thumbs-up after his car came to rest and he walked away from the incident with only a cut on his chin. The team will roll out a backup car for tomorrow's ABC Supply 500 and Kimball will grid 14th.
