Pagenaud on Pole as Penske Domination Continues *updated*
It was another Penske 1-2 in qualifying, this time with Simon Pagenaud capturing his second career pole, his first as a Team Penske driver, slotting in ahead of teammate Helio Castroneves. Both drivers were in a class by themselves as the only drivers to average more than 218 mph on their runs.
Another fun fact: Team Penske has won the Verizon P1 Pole Award in 12 of the last 13 Verizon IndyCar Series races dating back to The Milwaukee Mile last season, missing only the Indianapolis 500 pole award during that time.
