Briscoe to sub for Hinchcliffe at Indy
– Ryan Briscoe will return to the cockpit of an IndyCar this Sunday when he takes control of the No. 5 Arrow/Lucas Oil Honda Schmidt Peterson Motorsports entry originally piloted by James Hinchcliffe.Hinchcliffe was severely injured during Indy 500 practice when a suspension failure sent him into the turn three wall on Monday. He has since been taken out of the intensive care unit at IU Health Methodist Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, but he will be unable to compete this Sunday.In the meantime, Briscoe will make his return to the race where he took pole in 2012 en route to a career-best fifth-place finish.
