Indy 500: Daily Report, Tuesday

Page 1 of 2 END OF DAY REPORT Helio Castroneves pulled off the daily double Tuesday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He was the fastest driver with and without help. The three-time Indy winner upped the month's standard with a lap of 227.514 mph in his Shell Dallara-Chevrolet after running in tandem with teammate Simon Pagenaud, who turned a 227.382mph in the DeVibiss Dallara-Chevy during their early afternoon run. "You've got to run behind people to understand what you will have in the race but it's too early to worry about qualifying," said Castroneves, who was also quickest with no tow on opening day.
