Newgarden leads final Gateway practice

Team Penske didn't dominate Friday's final practice session like it did qualifying, but Josef Newgarden still showed the quick way around Gateway Motorsports Park. Newgarden, the current point leader of the Verizon IndyCar standings who will start on the outside of Row 1 in Saturday night's Bommarito Automotive Group 500, was the only driver in the 184mph bracket in his PPG Chevy during the 60-minute period run under the lights to simulate race conditions.
