SPM gives Sebastian Saavedra nod for Pocono, Gateway rounds

Schmidt Peterson Motorsports will field Sebastian Saavedra in the No. 7 car for the next two rounds of the IndyCar Series, following the departure of Mikhail Aleshin. SPM confirmed last weekend that it had mutually agreed with Aleshin to bring his IndyCar campaign to a premature end, enabling the Russian to focus on his nascent LMP1 project. SPM handed Saavedra an outing at the recent Toronto round, in place of Aleshin, and he will climb back into the cockpit at Pocono and Gateway.
