Perth, V8 Supercars confident of contract extension

Both Tourism WA and V8 Supercars are confident of renewing the contract to keep the category racing in Western Australia. The current deal between the West Australian government and V8 Supercars ended following last weekend’s round at Barbagallo Raceway. However, Motorsport.com understands that both parties are keen on a new contract, which would see V8s continue to race at the Wanneroo circuit.
