Esteban Gutierrez to complete IndyCar season with Dale Coyne
Dale Coyne Racing has confirmed that Esteban Gutiérrez will drive for the team across the rest of the 2017 IndyCar season, in place of the injured Sébastien Bourdais. Bourdais sustained hip and pelvic fractures in a high-speed crash during qualifying for the Indianapolis 500, with James Davison piloting the No. 18 car in race trim. Gutiérrez made his IndyCar debut in Detroit but was side-lined for the following round in Texas due to his lack of oval experience, with time constraints and regulations denying him the opportunity to test. Gutiérrez has now concluded a deal to race for Dale Coyne at the remaining eight rounds, starting at Road America this weekend....
