Gutiérrez open to Indianapolis 500 attempt

– Esteban Gutiérrez says he is receptive to the idea of competing at the Indianapolis 500 in the future, following Fernando Alonso's starring run last weekend.Gutiérrez, 25, will make his debut in IndyCar around the streets of Detroit this weekend with Dale Coyne Racing, in place of the injured Sébastien Bourdais.The Mexican, who competed in Formula 1 for three seasons with Sauber and Haas, commented that he is keen to follow in the footsteps of Alonso."I would love to try the Indy 500; I watched the race and it's a real exciting race," Gutiérrez is quoted by the official IndyCar website."It's pure driving, pure racing.
