Dixon's speedy Indy 500 pole a surprise

Scott Dixon's four-lap run to earn pole position for the 101st Indy 500 was something to honor and fear Sunday at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver's 232.164 mph average was the fastest fans have seen since 1996, when Arie Luyendyk set the all-time record of 236.986 mph, and the New Zealander admitted it felt wicked from inside his Honda-powered rocket. "It feels fast," the New Zealander said. "Any speed above 215 or 220 around this place feels really fast, but I think you just block it all out.
