High winds, low miles on third day of Indy 500 practice

Sage Karam walked back into Gasoline Alley after running a couple laps at 150mph, looked up at the sky and said: "Roger Penske has five cars and none of them are running today, so there's no reason for us to be out there." A ferocious wind, gusting up to 47mph, pretty much turned the Indianapolis Motor Speedway into a ghost town for most of Wednesday, as practice for the 101st Indianapolis 500 was reduced to practicing pit stops and dealing with the elements if you ventured out onto the track.
