Indy Lights champion Ed Jones joins Dale Coyne Racing in IndyCar for 2017

Dale Coyne Racing has signed 2016 Indy Lights champion Ed Jones, completing its IndyCar line-up for next year. Jones, 21, made the move over to America in 2015 with Carlin in Indy Lights, finishing his debut season third in the final standings before winning the title in 2016. Along with the title, the Briton secured the Mazda Road to Indy scholarship that guaranteed him a place on the grid for at least three races, including the Indianapolis 500. However, Jones is set to complete the full season with Dale Coyne Racing, partnering Sebastien Bourdais following his move from KVSH Racing, with the deal being announced on Monday.
