Castroneves earns fourth Long Beach pole

– Hélio Castroneves sealed his fourth Long Beach pole on Saturday, watching the end of qualifying from the pit wall after banking what proved to be an insurmountable lap earlier in the session. The strong time allowed him to celebrate alongside Roger Penske on the team's pit wall, but only after the final car crossed the line. The lone Chevrolet engine in the Fast Six fended off five Hondas with a 1:06.2254, nearly two-tenths clear of Scott Dixon and Ryan Hunter-Reay.Castroneves did just three laps in Q3, and despite not leading any other session on Saturday, the former winner of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach will start from pole tomorrow for the third straight year.
