Andretti Autosport's Takuma Sato posted the fastest lap early in the Verizon IndyCar Series' opening three-hour test session at Barber Motorsports Park and watched it stand as 21 other drivers tried to topple his Honda-powered entry. The eight teams in attendance were greeted by unusually warm conditions Tuesday morning as ambient temperature rose above 80F and track temperatures climbed above 110F, which was similar to what was found during qualifying for last year's race.
