Andretti leads Honda 1-4 in first St. Pete practice

The Verizon IndyCar Series roared back to life on Friday on the streets of St. Petersburg, and Honda wound up with eight cars in the top 10 during the first practice session. Marco Andretti led the way in the No. 27 Andretti Autosport Honda with a lap of 1m3.7559 seconds, followed by the Chip Ganassi Racing duo of Tony Kanaan (1m3.8450s) and Scott Dixon (1m3.8798s). Schimdt Peterson Motorsports' James Hinchcliffe was fourth fastest at 1m4.1506s, while defending series champion Simon Pagenaud was the fastest Chevy at 1m4.2131s.
