Andretti tops Honda-dominated evening session

Marco Andretti stole top spot in tonight’s test session as teams practiced in conditions most representative of when they will race. The Andretti Autosport-Honda driver clocked a lap of 189.122mph around the 1.022-mile course, an average that edged Graham Rahal’s Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing-Honda by 0.5mph. Takuma Sato was third in a second Andretti car, with Scott Dixon fourth, leading the Chip Ganassi Racing contingent. Sebastien Bourdais provided hope for Dale Coyne Racing with fifth as Charlie Kimball put a second Ganassi car in the top six.
