Andretti leads practice; Newgarden, Hinchcliffe shunt
On the site where he scored his first victory 10 years ago, Marco Andretti topped the third practice session at Sonoma Raceway, continuing Andretti Autosport-Honda’s strong weekend. With a new-tire run that produced a 1min16.3052sec, Andretti headed a 1-3-5-7 for his father’s team, with Ryan Hunter-Reay, Carlos Munoz and Alexander Rossi next up. Filling in the gaps were Team Penske-Chevrolet’s Juan Pablo Montoya, who was just 0.07sec shy of beating Andretti to top spot, and championship contenders Will Power and Simon Pagenaud. Jack Hawksworth and Takuma Sato were eighth and 12th for AJ Foyt Racing-Honda, while Scott Dixon and Charlie Kimball were the fastest Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevy...
