Pippa Mann escapes unharmed after high speed Indy 500 Practice crash

British driver Pippa Mann emerged unscathed following a high speed crash in her #63 Susan G Komen-backed Dale Coyne Racing machine during the final hour of practice at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Wednesday. Mann appeared to be caught out by a car checking up in front of her, losing control at the exit of turn four, bouncing off the inside wall before hitting the pit wall side on that propelled her to the outside wall of the track. She was able to get out of the car, and after a brief trip to the medical centre was cleared to return to driving, although her crew have a lot of work to do overnight to make this possible.
