Patricio O'Ward uninjured in airborne crash during practice for Indy 500

Carlin's Patricio O'Ward has been cleared by medical staff after getting airborne in a heavy crash during practice for the 103rd running of the Indianapolis 500. O'Ward was following the #3 Penske of Helio Castroneves into Turn 2 as his car snapped away from him, causing the car to spin towards the outside SAFER barrier. His #31 car hit the wall nose first and the air got underneath the Dallara chassis, lifting it into the air, but thanks to revisions to the aerokit which involved holes cut into the floor, his car did not roll over, landing the correct way up.
