Robert Wickens transferred to 'home' hospital ahead of further surgery

Robert Wickens has been transferred to a hospital nearer to his family home ahead of further scheduled surgery on his legs, which were fractured during his scary ABC Supply 500 crash at Ponoco Raceway almost a fortnight ago. The Canadian racer also suffered spinal injuries, the extent of which remains unknown. His Schmidt Peterson Motorsports team confirmed the relocation from Lehigh Valley Hospital to IU Health Methodist Hospital took place on Thursday, allowing him to be closer to friends and family during his recovery.
