Leena Gade splits from Schmidt Peterson after five IndyCar races

Motorsport.com has learned that James Hinchcliffe’s new-for-2018 race engineer Leena Gade has parted ways with Schmidt Peterson Motorsports after just five IndyCar races. Gade, who has three Le Mans 24 Hour victories as an Audi race engineer on her résumé, joined Schmidt Peterson in January, replacing the Ed Carpenter Racing-bound Allen McDonald as Hinchcliffe’s race engineer.
