IndyCar goes West in February with Sonoma and Phoenix tests
While the season opener in St. Petersburg is still well over a month away, IndyCar fans will have quite some action to look forward to in the coming weeks with two more preseason tests. The series’ first stop will be the Californian wine country for a one-day test at Sonoma Raceway on 5 February. Penske will put all three of their drivers on track, including champion Josef Newgarden. Rookies Matt Leist, Robert Wickens and Jordan King are also expected to participate. Dale Coyne will bring two cars to Sonoma, the 18 of Sebastien Bourdais and the 19, whose occupant remains TBA.
