Former Toyota Racing Development engineer Darren Sansum has joined IndyCar as managing director of engine development. In addition to working with TRD, which won the past two manufacturers' championships in NASCAR's Cup series, Sansum's CV also includes stints at Ford, Cosworth and Ilmor.
