Cindric, Penske to use 'less-is-more' race strategy
Earlier in the week, Team Penske president Tim Cindric told RACER it would take getting deep into championship weekend at Sonoma before he'd decide how to coach his four title contenders going into Sunday's race. After a clean sweep of the first two rows with their Chevy engine and aero kit package, Cindric says he'll take a less-is-more approach in the pre-race strategy meeting. Trust that Josef Newgarden, Will Power, Simon Pagenaud and Helio Castroneves will treat each other with respect while fighting for the championship is the key message to impact.
