Hunter-Reay tops first Pocono practice
Ryan Hunter-Reay set the pace in Saturday's opening practice session for this weekend's Verizon IndyCar Series round at Pocono. Hunter-Reay's 219.268mph came 11 minutes before the end, and bumped teammate Marco Andretti from the top of the timing screens, where he'd been perched for almost an hour. Improvements from Simon Pagenaud (219.211mph) and Tony Kanaan (219.160mph) during the late-session qualifying simulations lifted them to second-fastest and third-fastest respectively, although Andretti's best of 218.354mph was enough to keep him fourth-fastest.
