Carpenter Captures Top Spot on Dramatic Day 1 of Qualifying
Following a strange week of weather woes, that saw most of the field opting to sit out portions of the practice windows, the first day of Qualifying for the 101st running of the Indianapolis 500 provided more of the same, a huge storm barrelling through the region, leaving drivers to amuse themselves in their motorhomes, trying to take their minds off of the task at hand, qualifying as far up the order as possible for the 'big show'
