IndyCar: Montoya paces Indy aero test
Juan Montoya led the Team Penske charge Sunday afternoon as The Captain's drivers claimed the top two speeds on the opening day of practice for the 99th Indianapolis 500, It was also the debut of the oval-track aero kits of Chevrolet and Honda as 27 drivers posted times on a gorgeous afternoon. Montoya, the 2000 Indy 500 winner, clocked the top lap of 226.772mph his No. 2 Dallara-Chevy while teammate and three-time Indy king Helio Castroneves was right behind at 226.772mph. Marco Andretti was the quickest of the Honda-powered runners with a best circuit of 226.268mph in the Snapple Special.
