Hildebrand looks to shed 'oval specialist' rep
JR Hildebrand has a couple of messy entries in his Verizon IndyCar Series finishing record that are hard to ignore leading into this weekend's race in Long Beach. Widely regarded as an oval specialist, the Ed Carpenter Racing driver is a demon at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway and has top fives at the high-bank Texas Motor Speedway and the bullring Iowa Speedway from his two full seasons with Panther Racing in 2011 and 2012.
