INDYCAR: Revised test schedule 'less demanding' - Frye

Last Sunday, the mechanics on the 22 Indy cars competing at Watkins Glen put in a typical 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. day, then many of them sat around the Elmira Airport for five hours waiting on their delayed charter flight and got home at 1:30 a.m. They were back in the shop at 8 a.m. on Monday preparing their cars for a test at Sonoma, then they all few to Northern California on Wednesday for Thursday's test at Sonoma. Which closely resembled the insanity of racing at Elkhart Lake on a Sunday last June, then driving that night to Iowa Speedway for a Tuesday test.
