Jack Hawksworth: “Nothing really worked out”
Jack Hawksworth felt that he had a good car at the Watkins Glen International but circumstances prevented the British racer from claiming his first Verizon IndyCar Series top ten finish of the season. The AJ Foyt Racing driver rued losing time with a mistake early on that cost him valuable time, but also in some of his pit stops, while the fuel saving mode in the final stage of the race saw him finish down in sixteenth position.
