Scott Dixon’s final flying lap of Watkins Glen today broke the 146mph barrier and left his rivals gasping or suffering incidents in vain pursuit. The Chip Ganassi Racing-Chevrolet’s driver’s 29th lap of 1min22.8740sec set a 146.391mph average on the 3.37-mile roadcourse, eclipsing Team Penske-Chevrolet’s top runners Helio Castroneves and Will Power by 0.15-0.2sec.
