Castroneves quickest in final practice at Pocono
Helio Castroneves took top spot during this evening’s final practice session, as Chevrolet-powered cars dominated the top 10 in race trim. Castroneves’ top time was a 218.824mph, slotting the #3 Team Penske entry ahead of Carlos Munoz’s Andretti Autosport-Honda which was 0.8mph adrift. The Brazilian also turned 36 laps, more than any of his rivals. Although Penske did not participate in last week’s test here at the 2.5-mile tri-oval in the Pocono mountains, all four drivers made the top 10, this afternoon, with championship leader Simon Pagenaud third, 2014 Pocono winner Juan Pablo Montoya in sxith and 2014 IndyCar champion Will Power ninth.
